Wembley Synagogue is a traditional community offering an extensive
range of religious, spiritual and social activities in a warm welcoming
environment. Our synagogue is one of the most beautiful London and is enhanced by our chazzan Rev Anthony
Wolfson and our own choir.
Apart from our beautiful synagogue we have a Beth HaMidrash where daily services are conducted morning and
evening, a purpose built communal hall used almost daily for activities for
senior citizens, a modern kosher kitchen from where the kosher meals service is
run by Wembley Care and a complex offering a range of activities for young and
old.
The synagogue has access and facilities for the disabled.
For the senior citizens we have a weekly luncheon club,
friendship club, JACS and a newly launched SMILE (Senior Members Innovative
Learning Experience) programme. This includes an introductory Mishna shiur and home parlour
talks.
Wembley Synagogue is adept at holding spectacular events.
It recently dedicated a new Community Sefer Torah
with a carnival procession from Brent
Town Hall. It has held Chazanut concerts featuring our own Chazan
and Chazan Stephen Robins (who started his career
with us).
Wembley Synagogue generates a real community spirit,
enabling all it's members to celebrate together and
alas when needed to find support and solace. We also have a full range of care
facilities in or near the Shul.
Wembley is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Baker Street and
serviced by the fast Metropolitan Line and the Bakerloo Line as well as the Silverlink service to Euston and Watford.
The M1, M4, M25 and M40 are about 10 - 15 minutes away as is Brent Cross
Shopping Center.
To the west, beautiful rolling countryside is just a few minutes away.
Wembley has a vibrant Jewish infrastructure with the following
facilities:
Kosher
bakeries, Kosher butcher, Kosher Delicatessen, Mikvah
(at Kingsbury Synagogue), Edinburgh House, The Fredil
Radbil Centre, sheltered housing, Siani
and JFS Jewish Day Schools.
