This evening, Shabbat commences at 4.38 pm.  Mincha followed by Ma’ariv will be at 4.45 pm.   Tomorrow morning, Shacharit is at 9.15 am.

 

Tomorrow evening, Mincha will be at 4.30 pm followed by a Shiur given by Rabbi Harris until Shabbat ends at 5.44 pm when Ma’ariv will commence.

 

Project S.E.E.D. will be meeting in Golders Green from 8.30 pm – 9.30 pm.  For further details see Ray Feather.

 

The KKW2 term continues this Monday, 6 February here in Wembley, with the first of 2 talks on Medical Ethics topics, to be given jointly by Professor Michael Freeman and Rabbi Black.  This week’s talk is on ORGAN DONATION AND TRANSPLANTATION.

 

The Friendship Club meets every Tuesday at 1.30 pm in the Synagogue Hall. For more information please speak to Clarice Ofstein.

 

The SMILE Shiur, given by Joel Carmel, continues this Thursday at the home of Betty and Joel Carmel.

 

With the support of KKW2 and in conjunction with the US Living and Learning Department, Rabbi Harris will be continuing his evening TALMUD STUDY CIRCLE in the Beit Hamedrash every Wednesday evening after Maariv.  Everyone is welcome, including people who have never studied Talmud before; the only necessary qualification is being interested. Full details are on posters around the shul.

 

On Sunday February 12, there is a US Women’s Conference at the Central Synagogue in Hallam Street from 10 am to 4 pm.  You need to register in advance, and booking for the workshops is first-come-first-served.  Details including the full programme are on notice-boards in the Ladies’ Lounge and Bessie Clapman Hall.

 

Chazan Murgraff and the Cantorials along with our own local soloist Adam Willman will be treating us to a full Friday Night Spectacular Kabbalat Shabbat Service.  All members are encouraged to come to enjoy this marvelous event on 24 February.  The service will be conducted in the main Shul.

 

You are reminded that there will be a Shabbaton here at Wembley Synagogue on 25 February.  All tickets have now been sold.

 

The Ladies’ Guild will be holding a brunch on Wednesday 29 February at the home of Brenda and Col Hyman.  The speaker will be Derek Scott and his talk is entitled “Irving Berlin – The Early Years”. Cost £10 per person. Further details from any member of the Ladies’ Guild.

 

Please note that the deadline to supply articles for the Pesach edition of the Wembley Synagogue News is FRIDAY 2 MARCH AT 12.00 NOON.

 

The congregation is invited to a coffee Kiddush in the Bessie Clapman Hall immediately after Adon Olam.

 

Next Friday Shabbat commences at 4.51 pm.  Services will commence at 5.00 pm.
