Mincha this evening will commence at 7.45 pm. followed by a shiur by Rabbi Harris until Shabbat terminates at 8.57 pm. when Ma’ariv will commence.

 

Service times for the rest of the week are on the notice boards in the foyer and outside the Bet HaMedrash.

 

The Friendship Club meets every Tuesday at 1.30 pm in the Bessie Clapman Hall. For more information please speak to Clarice Ofstein.

 

The Smile shiur is on Thursday at 10.15 am at the home of Betty and Joel Carmel.

 

Articles etc. for the Rosh Hashanah edition of the Wembley Synagogue News should be sent to Morris Wiseman. The deadline date is this Monday, 25th August.

 

Monday, 8th September, KKW Adult Education programme continues at Kenton Synagogue, 8.30 pm. with a trio of talks entitled “Positive Action for Rosh Hashanah”. These will be given by the Rabbis of Kenton, Kingsbury and Wembley – Rabbis Black, Cohen and Harris. For further details please speak to Esther Gershuny of Issack Cohen.

 

The next Whisky tasting is on Wednesday, 10th September. For further information please speak to Morris Wiseman.

 

I would like to wish Reva Levy a Mazal Tov on the birth of a great-granddaughter.

 

On behalf of the congregation, may I wish a hearty Mazal Tov to Laurence Pollinsky and Keren Hirt on their forthcoming wedding.

 

Also a Mazal Tov to Diana and Harvey Pollins and Susan and Shlomo Hirt.

 

May I also wish a Mazal Tov to Eleanor and Brian Silver on the occasion of their 45th wedding anniversary.

 

And lastly, but by no means least, a hearty Mazal Tov to Hillier Wise on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

 

To celebrate these wonderful occasions, Diana and Harvey Pollins, Eleanor and Brian Silver and Hillier Wise have great pleasure in inviting the congregation Kiddush in the Bessie Clapman Hall immediately after Adon Olam.
